About Us

In 2018, Abamandla was founded in South Africa with a mission to transform the lives of young individuals. We went beyond job placement, offering tailored skills development programs and mentorship initiatives.

Abamandla became a beacon of hope, connecting talented youth with opportunities and empowering them to break barriers. Our dedication as Abamandla believe we made a lasting impact on youth dedicated lives, uplifting the youth of South Africa and shaping a brighter future.

We understand the unique challenges faced by the youth when entering the job market and we are committed to providing them with valuable opportunities and guidance to kick start their careers.

This training programme has been conceptualized to prepare and equip participants with foundational skills needed for their entry into the world of work.

The aim of this training programme is not only to prepare the participants at a foundational level for what they may encounter or to equip them with sufficient tools to navigate the workplace, but to also create an awareness of the skills they possess coming into the training programme.

To assist the Youth, we help them acquire a new skill set and identity their own skills; develop them further and assist the Youth to understand the bouquet of skills needed within the workplace.

Our mission is to empower the youth by providing them with the tools, resources and opportunities they need to succeed in their careers. We believe that every young individual deserves a chance to showcase their talents and realizes their potential.

Our Services

SOURCING

The process of sourcing involves the opportunity for the Youth to participate in a specific project. The applicants are entered into the Database Sourcing Pool, from where the suitability of each candidate is determined. Our HR team invites the candidates, according to the project requirements, for face to face interviews to finalize the selection process.

Due to logistical constraints we also invite Hosts to propose their own candidates for the programmes. This will be coordinated with the Liaison in the specific area.

TIME & ATTENDANCE

The Youth or Hosts are expected to submit Mogapi Attendance Registers on a weekly basis. The process of keeping accurate registers is a vital part of the services that Abamandla offers.

The registers are submitted and uploaded to our Attendance Tracking.

Attendance serves as evidence for our sponsors and the other network companies that the Youth/Learner is actually at work. Absenteeism and poor timekeeping can easily be identified and the relevant Youth/Learner can be helped to learn a different work ethic in the process.

ONBOARDING

Onboarding is the process where the Youth/Learner submits and signs all the relevant documents required to be on a specific program. The onboarding team will meet with the Youth/Learner, explain all the documents and contracts to them and facilitate the signing of the relevant documents.

During the onboarding process all legalities are explained to the Youth/Learner, for example; different types of leave, working hours and remuneration.

CONTACT CENTRE

Our contact centre is regularly in contact with the Youth/Learners via WhatsApp, phone calls or emails. This is to determine if our Youth are fine, are at work and resolve any queries. It also serves as a safe pathway for the Youth/Learner to contact Abamandla to ask questions and report incidents.

HR ADMINISTRATION

Abamandla covers all HR administrative functions pertaining to the contracting of the Youth/Learner for the duration of the various programmes. This will include functions like, leave applications and tracking, Department of Labour requirements, dealing with queries and complaints and overseeing the well being of our Youth and Learners.
